YOUNG MUSIC TALENTS TAKE CENTRE STAGE IN SENAI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT02 Dec 2018

JOHOR BAHRU, 2 December 2018 – Travelers and visitors at Senai International Airport were wowed and entertained with outstanding performance by 160 young talents presenting their extraordinary musical skills through playing musical instruments, singing and dancing in a series of performance over the weekend.

Senai Airport Terminal Services Sdn Bhd (Senai International Airport), a Member of MMC Group co-organizes the Senai Airport Music Weekend 2018 event with Karen MusikHaus on the 1 – 2 December 2018 as part of its CSR agenda.

Chief Executive Officer of Senai International Airport, Md Derick Basir said, “The Senai Airport Music Weekend aims to encourage children to explore and express themselves through arts and music.

By providing the platform, the children can showcase and expose their talent to the public while at the same time enlivening the airport atmosphere with their beautiful notes and performances”.

The event showcased aspiring musicians aged 1 to 18 from a diverse pool of pianists, guitarists, keyboardists, violinists, drummers as well as acoustic and choir singers performing to the full house audience of visitors and travelers.

The event was held for the third consecutive year at Aeromall, Senai International Airport in conjunction with school holidays and the upcoming Christmas celebration where passenger traffic is higher than any other months with airlines adding more frequencies to destinations such as to Ipoh and Subang.

Academic Director of Karen MusikHaus, Karen Lim Fui Ling said, “We are very happy to be given the opportunity to perform and showcase our beloved young talents to the public. Program like this will eventually help the children to gain more confidence and improving their performing skills. We hope that this annual event will be continued in the future for us to continuously promote musical education and participation.”
