Access to Airport
Senai Airport welcomes any Press who is interested to do coverage on Senai Airport’s development and progress. Hence, we try to adopt flexibility as much as we can when it comes to granting the Media access to the airport’s restricted areas. However, we also put safety as our first priority in any situation.
We ask for your full commitment and co-operation to comply with the airport authorities when you are on duty at the airport. The following guidelines will help you gain access to the airport with minimal risk to the security:
- Any visits to the airport requiring access to the restricted area must be accompanied by a formal letter stating the purpose of the visit, the date & time, the location(s) wishes to be visited, and the personal details of the members of the Press (name & IC no.).
- On the day of the visit, members of the Press are required to exchange their ID cards for access passes. The Press will also be escorted by Senai Airport staff throughout the visit.
- When going to the Airside, members of the Press must always go through security screening before accessing to the airside.
- Access to the apron and other restricted areas must be accompanied by security staff. Please contact the Corporate Communications Department: +603- 2698 4800 for more details.
Reminder
Members of the Press are not permitted to bring prohibited items such as sharp objects or weapons of any kind to the Airside. All equipments such as camera, video camera, and tape recorder to be brought to the Airside must go through the x-ray machine screening for security reason.
